I think that deal is kinda interesting but falls apart given Raul being a UFA-1 and completely replaceable with Lagesson Jones both being long term RFAs

Dylan Holloway is already signed, and their contract begins in the 2021-2022 season. Because this is a 21-22 team, Holloway shows up in the non-roster players for the Oilers.

They are not sitting Bouchard next year and one of jones and Lagesson will probably be around a year as 7D. You have to make a decision on Barrie or Bear if you keep Barrie trade Bear. Nuge was offered like 6 million that deal never happens.

Turris and Lagesson aren't interesting. Bear is but I don't think the Sens would be willing to move Paul or Formenton let alone both. The left side of the D is set with Chabot, Brannstrom and Mete plus Sanderson is coming after next season. Adding two left shot defencemen wouldn't make a ton of sense unless one is coming back.

Ottawa easily declines. Paul is amazing defensively. Gets 60+% defensive zone draws but still manages good possession numbers. Our second best faceoff man. Excellent pker. Blocks hella shots. Second on the team in takeaways. Formenton is still only 21 years old and was almost point per game in the AHL last season scoring 27 goals.

Caleb Jones is interesting but we have JBD and Zub long term on the right hand side.

I dont need metrics. Watching the games you will see Paul is our best defensive player. He is exactly the kind of bottom six forward EDM needs. No deal.
