Think the numbers you have signed Pettersson and Hugh’s works on a 3 yr bridge deal, if you want term Pettersson comes in around 9 and Hugh’s 8.25 and you sign them both for 7 yrs, I think with both having poor seasons to their standards and the flat cap, you strike and lock them up long term, both probably come in at a mil under what they would have got in a normal yr with the cap still going up every yr, might look like a steep price to pay right now but the last 4 yrs will look like good value contracts. One has to take into consideration on a 3 yr bridge deal we probably see our first cap increase that offseason which drives their next deals up and there will be no more playing nice, Nuks will have back the brink trucks up to play them that extra bump for taking bridge deals, but that at least insure there nuks for the next 10 yrs.
Forsberg 1.25
Boyd 950k
Martinez 4.5 x 2
Pass on Reilly
Eriksson your probably going have to add a mid level prospect or a 3rd
Don’t see Florida or the Bruins doing those trades
Virtanen is going to be tough to move his value couldn’t be any lower and the backloaded contract don’t see anyone qualifying him at that # unless he has a massive bounce back yr and scores 20, last offseason was the time to move him
Your right it’s hard to find anyone on here that doesn’t rip you for the moves you’ve make and then they turnaround and massively overvalue their players.
It can be toxic at times
