Holloway isn't garbage. But yeah, I'm curious how he sees the balue portioning out per player here.

You're right, Holloway is definitely a decent prospect. But this trade needs to be dialed down. EDM can't sustain a cap with MCD / Drai / Jack. They haven't done a good enough job drafting the past number of years. the Leafs have been able to do it, because they have cheap contracts in the system and have found players that will come for cheap. EDm has McD, but the city isn't a destination like Toronto. How many guys in the league say "I grew up in Edmonton cheering for the Oilers, I'd love to go play there for a discount". It sounds stupid and unfair, but look at what guys like Spezza, Simmonds and Thornton have done for this team (whether it's on or off the ice). But the 4 big cap hit contracts are going to come back and bite the Leafs in the ass after this year, when Hyman is looking for 5-6 mil, and Rielly the following year at at least 6.

LOL, really? Please enlighten me. They're ranked mid pack in the NHL for farm system, and that's with high picks in almost every draft for the past 15 years.

Yeah, the farm doesn't go that far back. Clearly they ****ing sucked at it pre-Chiarelli.

Bear, Jones, Khaira, Marino. All NHL regulars. Benson has the highest PPG in the AHL of players who've played 20+ games.

Skinner, a third rounder, has a .913 save percentage in the AHL as a 22 year old.

Ilya Konovalov has a .923 save percentage in the AHL

Lavoie (2nd) , McLeod (2nd), Savoie (4th) all look to have promising careers ahead. Especially McLeod

Plenty of other very late draft picks making an impact in Bakersfield, Kemp (7th round), Desharnais (7th round) Kesselring (6th round) all play in the AHL, which is solid for that late.

You clearly don't know **** about Edmonton prospects.
