Ok the Quinn Hughes idea is legitimately interesting. Do I think it will happen? Hell no. But could I see him signing it (if Luke was drafted to NJ and Jack's there)? Probably. And with Vancouver in a tough spot they'd have a hard time matching. I still think they would but who knows. And if the Hughes brothers all ended up taking a discount to stay together in NJ and compete for a Cup when their next contracts are up their jerseys shouldn't just be retired in the Pru but hung from every building in NJ.

If NJ wanted to screw with Vancouver they should make the offer 1 year $13 mil and they guarantee Vancouver couldn’t match. I feel like they could do some cap juggling and find a way to make $10 mil work, it won’t be easy though. Love the creativity.

Thank you. I didn't want to make an offer over $11M because we would have to give up 4 first round picks which seems like way too much. But I agree that Vancouver would be screwed financially and it could be worth a shot
