i would rather have barbashev involved in the deal. i would love sanford and barbashev. but barbashev and blais would be nice

I think if i need a goal in the playoffs I'm more likely to get it from Zucker than either of those two.

what about barbashev? i just think zucker in pittsburgh has not been the best fit and stl is looking for a top 6 winger. barbashev had 11 and 14 goals and 26 points both of the last two seasons. and sanford had 8 and 12 goals and 20 and 30 points the last two seasons.

they definitely are not elite goal score but they will give up depth scoring s they have shown they can put goals on the board

I don't know why people keep saying this about Zucker. He has 6 5v5 goals in 22 games. He's basically on a 20 goal season at even strength. That's not bad at all.
Now that line has not been stable like all year. To start the year Kap was out so Rust was on the 1st line. Then Zucker got hurt, and Now Malkin has missed 10 games.
That line has all the talent in the world to produce. You just have to let it.

i just feel for the cap that he has, he should be able to produce more than that. i like him he just has a big cap and his numbers are not stellar, they are good just feel they should be more for how much he makes

It's hard for guys to produce lofty number with just 5v5 time. Especially when you are not the main piece.
He gets like 0 PP time on the 2nd unit. In 5v5 he has to share the puck with two other guys who are goal scorers.
There is only so much to go around. Especially when that line really has not been together all that long healthy.

i just don't really like the riikola trade. i love riikola and think he could replace pettersson if he is take in the expansion
