And it is Broberg for the rest.

Broberg = Wood, Zacha. Murray, 1st

Broberg is decent prospect.
Fairly raw, slowly progressing, certainly drafted way too high.

Neal/McLeod/Broberg for Zacha/Murray
Neal/Broberg for Wood/Murray
Broberg for Wood/Murray/pick

Hard no from Edmonton not moving Klelfboms replacement or a NHL ready 3rd line centre, Neal will be bought out this offseason
With the flat cap you need as many entry level deal players as possible and both Broberg and McLeod are NHL ready.

Pretty sure the Devils can't retain on Murray. A team can only retain on two players and they already did on Palmeri and Zajak

Yeah I was kind of just winging it the value doesn't really match lol. I guess I was thinking about trading good NHL players for prospects who have the potential to be better but this is kind of an all over the place trade. L.

Doesn't make sense for either team. We lose a LHD prospect for a rental. We're already weak on the left with Klefbom as a question mark. McLeod is projecting to be our third line center, which we sorely need. He's clipping at a ppg in the AHL, with as many goals as assists. Murray would be nice as a rental for the playoffs. But that's about it.

On the other hand both Zacha OR Wood would be good players on McDavids left wing. Don't know if we'd need both though. On that point, swapping Zacha for McLeod just seems bad for NJD. The first rounder from NJD doesn't make any sense. It should be the other way around for taking Neal. Which we don't need, he can sit pat for one more season since we have enough room this offseason for additions, and then be bought out next summer 2022 at a 2x2.

Realistically the deal would be closer to

Oilers get: Wood, Murray NJD get: 2022 second rounder, 2021 fourth, Tyler Benson/Dmitri Samorukov, Alex Chaisson.

Don't think the money works for Murray though. So trade falls through anyways.
