Trading Konecny's prime and two valuable assets for a single season of Gaudreau like 😳 it's very easy to argue Konecny is the better player at the moment

Konecny in way less TOI

After this they'd have a situation where 5 of their best players and half their entire team (!) would be impending unrestricted free agents

But it's not an "all-in for a cup run" scenario either

Gaudreau has publicly stated that he wants to play for philly so i could see him signing a team friendly deal possibly to help with the cap. Some of the signings on this post just dont make sense like what do you need Mccabe for when York is pretty much nhl ready, same with Haula he is a nice bottom 6 player but not worth 2.9 million when Laczynski is good enough to play on the 4 line, Giroux would propably sign for about 3-4 million which frees 4-5 million and trading Van riemsdyk away would leave us with 20 million to work on Couturiers, Farabees and Harts contracts
