Description
I have an opinion on the direction of the Blackhawks. I think they can sell players like Mattias Janmark and Carl Soderberg. I see the same thing on the blue line with a guy like Calvin De Hann. I see players like Lukas Reichel who can be given the opportunity to be a player like Janmark. I see depth on the blueline with guys like Lucas Carlsson, Nicholas Beaudin, Ian Mitchell, and even Wyatt Kalynuk. I see it is time to embrace our youth. Our youth is important moving foward but Its time to embrace them. Jeremy Collition can grow young players. Kubalik, Dach, Boqvist, Suter, Hagel, Strome, and possibly Debrincat. Debrincat was there when the Hawks transitioned from Q to Collition. Colliton wont be here too long but I think he can help the youth and you can bring in the the proven winner to help the young talent win. The direction to me is important because its your team foundation. What opinion do other have about the situation.

Most hawks fans on here agree we should be sellers. Just want to add that I don't nessicarily agree that Colliton won't be here long, we just extended him and managment clearly is sticking with him through the rebuild.

Transitions are always hard and that goes DOUBLE when you moving on from Q. Q is the best coach in hockey and I still believe that today even when he's not on the Hawks. Q also still has flaws too though...we ALL do! The Q firing is a different post for a different day. BUT back to the point of the post. I HATE how teams in the NHL almost want mediocrity. I sat fat and happy laughing at every other team within this coaching carousel where ZERO new coaches came on the scene, but it seemed like Yeo, Boudreau, Deboer, McLellan, Montgomery all just kinda swapped cities and every team was happy. Totally stupid if you ask me. I wanted new blood...and I got it.

With that said...it takes COURAGE and RISK to "buck the trend". I for one have grown to accept and will likely soon be a Colliton....FAN. Dare I say it. The days of John Tortorella are OVER. Torts does hold accountability to his players, BUT when it comes to Torts holding Torts accountable...very different. He's the superstar that loves the media attention, BUT can't stand it when his players speak up. He needs to shut his mouth! A LOT LESS "I's" and more "We's" in the post game. Colliton is a really good communicator and the players these days are far more knowledgeable and deserve to have input. Input doesn't mean they run the show, but when Keith spoke up last season. JC adjusted because Keith was right. Now, the Vets speak highly of JC.

I like what he has done with the rookies 100% I think his future in the league is bright. I believe he can change a culture of a team. He can do it with younger players.
