Eichel is a franchise c. A hair below generational but wow that's a lot of value.

A prime aged #2-3 d signed for fair money. A 1a/1b c signed for 1.5 years at fair money in his prime and two firsts and a good prospect. Firsts being unprotected from a team not in the playoffs...

2021 draft sucks and theyre better with Eichel, which for a bubble playoff team puts them in the playoffs. If anything the Sabres need defensive defenseman, they have Dahlin who is supposed to be the PPQB on the team.

Yeah but fans sour on things they have so much until they're gone. They wanted to trade him and a first for Dubois. It would be a dream if Dubois turns into Monahan but they're so done with him they've lost sight. Hopefully their gm isnt so biased.
