So let me understand this...Eichel makes as much as Troch/Pesce combined. So it’s two great forwards and 1 great defenseman out - Eichel/Joker in. But somehow that makes more cap space to sign Hamilton?

No, moving pesce as opposed to a lower salaried player out keeps the cap even and doesn’t worsen the Hamilton situation

If the cap is even, and you’re moving out more roster players than you’re bringing in...that’s not solving whatever preceived problem there might be. As a matter of fact, trading an RFA like Necas, an extremely solid top 4 RHD on a great contract, and a value contract top 6 Centerman under contract for next season creates massive gaps that Eichel just doesn’t solve.

The firsts are on the wrong side of this trade IMO, which is why the Canes are not a destination for Eichel.

Which is fine, I’m just trying to do something that’s not rangers lol. An engaged eichel and aho as one/two would be deadly though come playoff time.

Laine hasn’t produced like his potential since that 5 goal game. Despite his lack of goals eichel is a near point per game on a complete tire fire. Add in the position and it’s not a fiat comparison.

This is just awful....I was going to try to give you a pass and hoping that you started this thread like a week and a half ago, but no, it was after Necas had a 4 point game. I'd not want to send you that package back even if it was Eichel and Dahlin.
