Id rather have the bad contracts if i had to include podkolzin to move them.

You are getting Strome and ZAD as compensation, so it’s not like you are loosing him for just the bad contracts.

There is so much junk I’m not sure where to start. Podkolzin for 3 cap dumps, Strome, and Zadarov (who won’t be worth his next deal)? I’m not sure I’d do that as VAN, Zadarov probably walks for cap reasons and I don’t think they could afford a the Strome arb award.

Strome has a year left on his contract after this. You guys could flip Zad, but honestly I would be excited seeing a Myers and Zad pairing.

I’m not a VAN fan, but trading Podkolzin for what could amount to a year of Strome and a meh defenseman seems iffy.

BTW I like Strome and Zadarov as role players but I don’t think they’re worth a top 6 power forward on an ELC.

It’s not like Podkolzin is a sure thing at this point, and that cap space is going to be valuable for them. I respect the opinion though.
