Not being a critic but sitting in my sun room in Florida and waiting for the game tonight. So let's have some fun breaking this down. Not criticizing, only dialogue.
It will be hard to know who the Kraken take or who Bergevin counters with draft picks not to take. Vince Dunn is a good choice. Giving up Mete, not a big deal. The 1st round pick again not a super big deal but this is an area of concern. MTL is very strong at LD in terms of what is coming up the pipe. We have Guhle, Leskinen, Fairbrother, Norlinder, Struble, Harris plus young Romanov which you placed in the 3 hole. That means you now have Dunn, Romanov and Edmundson on the left side, when you have 6 LD's coming. Out of those 6, 2 of them will absolutely make any NHL team. So do you still want to make that trade for Dunn and lose your 1st pick with 6 LD's coming soon?
Up front what sticks out is getting Tuna for only $3 M. That would be a crazy steal and not realistic that he accepts that. Evans is getting stronger on faceoff's, would it make sense to move him to RW after a full season at C and doing a decent job at it? Several teams keep placing Lowry with MTL, not sure where that is coming from, but do you want to spend $4.5 M on a 3rd line C during a flat cap era? not saying Lowry is not good, just saying, the following season Suzuki needs a new contract. Things to ponder!
