If they do they aren't giving up an arm and a leg.
It's not so much the player but a bad situation. He's 31 next year, then he's gonna want a new contract. Which most likely is gonna be an awful deal for whoever bites. It will be a high dollar deal, with term on a guy who is already 32. That has bad contract written all over it.

Like I said, has nothing to do with the player, everything to do with the situation. He goes somewhere it's rental value. Odds of teams signing him to extension where they aren't getting totally screwed is low.
Which is probably why he's traded out of NSH next year. They know they don't want a big money long term deal on a guy who is 32.
