Description
This may have been a bit of an overpayment, but it really helps both teams.

Anahiem gets a solid, goalscoring 1LW to pair with Getzlaf, as well as a nice 2C. These should help Anahiem into the playoffs.

Toronto, on the other hand, gets seriously needed pieces for now (Defensemen in Vatanen and Stoner), as well as the future (the 1st round pick).

I don't know how beneficial this is for the Leafs, yes Vatanen is good, but is he what the Leafs need? Also do we really need the 24th pick in this years draft or would Bozak be more beneficial?

The Leafs need a RHD, but not a small puck-moving one. I see the value, but I feel the Ducks would much rather keep Vatanen for the playoffs and Stoner in case of injuries. The Ducks would probably do a JVR for Vatanen swap before they added Bozak and sent picks flying everywhere.
I say both teams pass on this one. But I like the idea

Leafs don't need Stoner, a LHD, who was on waivers. Agree with some my comrades, Vatanen would be nice, but is he that needed.? And what is your protection lists? And 24th or whatever pick, doesn't help for years if at all.
Keep JVR and Bozak you need them this year and probably into next year. Leafs should be using their cap space clout and near NHL assets to make deals, not just lateral moves.

Bozie isn't a true 2C, he doesn't drive the play offensively. He's defensively sound and better off suited at 3C on a 'good team'.

Well maybe you're right. He was often the best player on the Leafs # 1 line a few years a go....JVR. Bozak. Kessel. Although I think rating players as # 1, 2, 3 is largely unfounded, I wonder where Bozak is on the Leafs
Playing with JVR and Marner, arguable the top line, maybe the second. If you think Bozak is so "low" on a good team, I don't know where he fits on the Ducks who have plenty of centres.

Can't tell if you were trying to chirp me/be sarcastic or not but yeah I mainly talking about what he was stating in the description which was; "Anahiem gets a solid, goalscoring 1LW to pair with Getzlaf, as well as a nice 2C. These should help Anahiem into the playoffs". Bozak isn't a no.2 C was my point, but on Anaheim, I think he would fit in well with their system as a 3C, though I think they would rather go for elite small skilled scoring talent.

No, I wasn't chirping, but you seem to be contrary to what Bozak. is. In the explanation you call a "nice 2C (with Anaheim): Then in your reply he is better off suited at 3C. So where would Bozak fit in on the Ducks roster? As i said, I think ratings of lines are generally meaningless. Better offensive players play the power play but after that the three top 3 lines play about the same minutes against every other line.
Personally I like Bozak and he has done a good job for the Leafs for years, including lots of time on the PP and PK.
On a side note, I would rather the Leafs get Manson and maybe Montour (if he deemed NHL good) from the Ducks in any trade. Of course the Ducks would rather keep Manson at least for this season. (playoff run) We'll see who the Ducks protect before the expansion draft. Maybe their "4" Dman might be available via trade.
