Description

I'll be honest I don't know much about this guy other than his numbers, which are actually pretty great the last 2.5 seasons. Is he highly regarded by Panthers fans? I feel like he won't stay in Florida just because of the goalie log jam they have. (Bob, Knight, Levi ).

What do you pay him in UFA? I'd offer him something similar to Koskinen for 2 years if he maintains a good pace this year. I could be out to lunch though. Only 26 years old so he would fit the timeline, he's a big guy at 6'4. Definitely something to keep an eye on for Holland.

Well if Florida wasn’t paying Bob 10mil a year I bet they’d sure love to try and get him that many games. He’s been very solid for them, way better than Bob

I was having trouble nailing down a value for Driedger as well, his numbers have been excellent the past 2 seasons but he only has 20 NHL games played...so I went way lower at $1.5 per year over 2 years. I could see this go as high as $2.5 depending on how the rest of the season plays out for him.

It really depends which goalies make it to UFA. Cbj and Arizona may deal a goalie... So there are quite a few options which would maybe limit Driedgers value. Hard to say though. But I would be comfortable with something around 3-3.5 on a short term deal for him. Unless his numbers fall off a cliff.
