Vancouver would request he does not report to the team. It looks bad, it is bad, it's just a small cap save. They both have two years. It's just lots of grief for small gains.

I also just remembered that this was already done except with picks. Obv no picks. That's a no from me dawg.

Its too bad he is an @sshat eh? He is a pretty good player, but I agree you don't want that guy anywhere near your team especially the youngins

If you are Vancouver. You do this trade. The buy out for DeAngrlo is only 1/3 of his contract because of his age.

But then the question becomes, why would the Rangers not just bury him for the year and then buy him out this off season.

I think a trade more likely would be:
DeAngelo and 2nd round pick for a serviceable defensemen that the Rangers can play now. (You can debate who that might be. Ha.)

If we could give Myers for him I would pay extra but if the buyout is that good then fair enough.
