If a guy like Rakell becomes available I think the Flames would be interested. Anaheim had reportedly had longstanding interest in Bennett. I could see Bennett being part of a package that includes a 1st and likely more. Something like that.

I would be surprised if he’s simply just dealt for a pick, unless the Flames are completely out of the race

Hard to say what happens. If there is a frenzy and everybody gets excited there’s a good chance somebody overpays for Bennett.

The best hope for Treliving would be that a GM overvalues Bennett's playoff history.
