The problem with this topic is the same as everything else in this day and age, everything is extreme. Brodie isn't some god, nor is he expected to be one. He's a solid player, he has a good stick and breaks up plays better than most. Hes a terrific skater and good defensively. That's what he is, in TO thats what they want. Do your job and do it like you have been. It's given Rielly a good partner for the first time in his career and it's already helped his game. Takes a huge amount of pressure of Muzzin and Holl (Holl has been terrific this year fyi) and the 3rd pair is solid as well. Too many dummies on here will say, "Brodie isn't elite like TO thinks he is" to which I say, no one says that. Like literally no one ever has said that. But like all things if someone says "this player is good" the smart ones on here (that is full sarcasm and not directed at you good sir) will hear "Brodie is winning the Norris". Those same smart people also go off the deepend on their own players because in their mind everything is 100% one way or the other, nuance and middle ground doesn't exist for those people. Which of course makes constructive conversation almost impossible these days

Yeah I understand what ur saying. He’s solid. But (surprisingly) Leddy had been pretty solid too this year

lol sounds like someone who's making things up to push a narrative.

I just don't care to take the time to go through your posts on here to find an example. We have had countless debates where you claimed Lou was great and Dubas was crap. Now that it's absolutely clear Lou is outdated and terrible you are just claiming you always felt this way. Typical, just like how you were adamant that Leddy was worth a 2nd but now he's essentially a cap dump, you still somehow were never wrong about that. It's just the same old. You are always right and when you are wrong you never said that to begin with.

Brodie

In what way? Has been playing big minutes, has 4 assists, been a good member of our insane PP and has helped Rielly in his own zone. I'd say he's exactly what was expected. Solid, nothing overly fancy just a good player who makes good decisions. But like I've mentioned above, I say he's been solid, you'll hear "He's been the best defenceman in the world!". Of course no one is saying that but if you just came to reality you wouldn't be able to sit on your high horse and pretend you won an argument. TO is 7-2, been way better defensively and like most teams are still figuring out exactly how to put the pieces together, their offence will come and frankly, sacrificing some of their 5v5 chances to improve their own end is much better than the run and gun they usually do. Get the system down, develop good habits and then let the offence really come back strong. This team is the best it's been in decades

Speaks a lot about your character that you would make things up like this. Sad!

Honestly I haven't seen much of him yet this season. I have a newborn in the house so finding time to watch hockey is difficult lol. Have a good weekend though boss!

The funniest part of this is that I totally bill you as a Trumpian sort of person and then you respond with a absolute trump style response. Sad! Lol amazing.

Actually it’s his defensive play that has been subpar - that’s what dubas signed him to help out with. If Lou signed a washed up 30 year old Dman to a 4 year deal you wouldn’t shut up about it

Nothing wrong w being a trump supporter. I personally hate politics, can’t even vote anyway, but Ik a lot of good people who like trump and a lot of good people who like Biden. Politics don’t define who you are as a person (in most cases)
