Put Vasilevsky with a mediocre or below average defense then we can decide if he’s the best. He’s got one of the best defensive cores in the league backing up. Ducks defense is absolute **** and Gibson with an elite defense would be miles better than Vasilvesky.

Because of his recent performances and fact that the Ducks are rebuilding causes people to go crazy thinking they can send Gibson to their team.

Gibson is 27 he will have lots of years left. If he was 34 you better believe he would be traded. It really surprises me how many people don’t check the age of the goalie before they go all in and go on here defending their choice. I’ve had people tell me Crawford and Rinne are viable choices for free agency this summer.

Anaheim's in a rebuild. Anyone can be traded. But goalies don't go for as much as you've said and with more teams going with a 1A/1B type situation, it lowers his value even more. Like the somewhere around a 1st, A type prospect, and young goalie to take Gibson's spot. It Anaheim might have to take a contract back as well
