Description

Toffoli is proving the be a more lethal goal scorer than Anderson and fits better with two great playmakers. I think he complements suzuki and Drouin better.

KK needs some speed on the wings plus some else who can forecheck and bang some dmen around. I think Anderson plays a similar game to KK and they are a better fit.

Could also consider lehkonen on the wing with KK but I've been loving him paired with Evans they create a lot turnovers and would benefit Armia significantly. Armia game doesn't fit with KK well. He's too slow. Having him with Evans and Lehkonen they can cycle whole shifts in the opposition's end and control play. All 3 create a lot turnovers. Great 4th line while the other three rest.

Perry and Frolik sub in for any injury on the wings. Poehling fills in C.
I think this is a more balanced lineup.

WTH every time KK builds chemistry with a guy he gets taķen away and KK gets the crap end of the stick. Drouin-Suzuki-Anderson were playing well together then Toffoli-KK-Armia get going and Anderson starts losing place and all of a sudden it's let take Toffoli and give him to Suzuki. Why not leave him where he is?

Disagree. Before the season started, analytics pointed to Anderson doing well off possession from the puck. Suzuki and Drouin are the best puck carriers (in terms of possession-time). It's why that line has been looking so good. They compliment each other and Anderson provides much need grit and size to the other two.

KK needs someone to pass to. Toffoli fits in nicely next to him as the shooter, Armia too in his last two games.

Not saying it's not working. Just saying it could be better. Regardless of the analytics before the season, watching the games makes me think Toffoli is a better fit with suzuki and Drouin for the exact reasons you mentioned about possesion. Anderson scores of the rush or one timers in the slot. With him and Byron on the wings it gives KK the speed and support on the forecheck he's not getting with Toffoli and Armia. I actually dont think Toffoli and KK have much chemistry and Armia had one good game. At this rate Toffoli is scoring his way to more minutes with suzuki and Drouin anyway.

Most of Toffoli goals haven't been the result of chemistry with KK. Anderson and Byron is hardly the short end of the stick. It's better balance and I'd bet you'd see KK getting more chances than he is currently .

I feel like KK's points don't reflect the chemistry he has with Toffoli -- not that they aren't good -- but I think they could be more. I thought he's been feeding Toffoli some excellent chances, and for once KK isn't relying on Lehky to burry his passes.
