IMO based on stats alone, i could see this happening. the 1st would be lottery protected, not top 10. the 2 2nds are also there. then strome, a player where his value is questioned every day. FACT: Panarin helped strome. FACT: at the same time strome helped panarin FACT: strome had 2 straight years of good play. after he arrived in NY and last year. FACT: Strome is not worth a first but 2 2nds isnt far off. Deangelo is also questioned daily. FACT: elite offensive defenseman FACT: did have a great year offensively but is average to below average defensively FACT: He is a pp specialist and cannot help much on defense so a top 4 role is 50-50 FACT: even though he is sitting on the bench for the past 2 games, it is due to quinn, not his play but this coach who wants to show younger players to get in line. FACT: Deangelo is worth a 1st minimum. Maybe late first and a 3rd. Now to speak about CBJ. Savard is on his way out of the league. he is old and not worth much. Added him for them to remve his cap hit. Now Dubois. Best player of the trade no doubt. top 6 center maybe even top line. Does not get along with torts (same with the rangers back in the 2010s). its probably closer with kakko anyway but rangers are surefire on keeping chytil. They see him as the 2c of the future as of right now.
