Description

Definitely not pretty but we will take that win, especially after how bad period 1 was. Kap looked great though. A missed 3 on 0, 5 on 3 short handed goal, majors being changed to minors, awful goaltending yet some great saves, so many mistakes, etc... what a crazy game. Props to sully for not pulling DeSmith. I was calling for them to pull him and put in Jarry. That’s why he’s the coach. A resilient win that’s forsure. Let’s hope MP and Riikola are okay.

I don’t know how many games it’s gonna take for Sully to realize malkin and zucker shouldn’t be on the same line. keep the guentzel-malkin-rust combo that had so much success last year

I just wish the penguins would run one of their better guys out when he's out of position. You got to push back so they know there is a cost.

Zucker played well with Malkin last year.

they combined for 3 points in the 4 play in games. Zucker had 12 points in 15 games when he was on Sid’s line before the regular season stopped. Just think it’s time for a change. They have to rejuvenate malkins game somehow especially with how much each game matters now.

They are slow starters and had no camp. Relax. All his underlying numbers are just fine. Not including this game tonight as the stats didn't update, that biggest issues is the 5.3 shooting % of that line. That's the only issue and the .882 save % from the goalies but he can't fix that. The shooting % will even out. It's only a matter of time. But they are winning the high danger shots which tends to mean scoring is coming.
