I don’t think he’d be ready for top line minutes right off the bat but considering average guys like Sheary could play really well on his wing, maybe it’s worth a shot.

McCann is playing wing this year. JR and Sully both said he’s more of a wing, a scorer, great shot!! and will play wing this year. They don’t want him trying to carry a line and play-make for his line. They want him to do what he does best, and score.

And I know people hate it. But Janko is the 3C as the roster stands right now. And will be given every opportunity to keep the spot all year. And E-Rod is the 3rd line RW.

Even with all the injuries last year, Sully didn’t split up the Tanev/Blueger/ZAR line. And he won’t this year either.

The 4th line got 3rd line minutes last year and if McCann/Janko/E-Rod line doesn’t produce, they will again this year. The 4th line will be Tanev/Blueger/Lafferty..(or Sceviour on the RW, 4th line). But we need Lafferty and his right-handed stuck on Face-offs. And he’s good at FO’s.

Unless Poulin is comfortable playing RW, I don’t see him making the roster this year. Unless it’s the 3rd line RW. Again, he has to comfortable playing there though. A left-handed shot on the right side. That’s his weak side. You don’t want to ruin a young player by putting him in a position he isn’t completely comfortable playing. And have him learn and adjust against NHL players and at NHL speed.

The biggest thing I wish for this year is Maniscalco winning the 3rd pairing RHD with Matheson. And send Ruthwedel down have Ceci, Riikola as scratches and depth.

I think Poulin will be ready next year. And if McCann improves or keeps up his back to back 35 point seasons. 19 goals in 18-19 and 14 goals last year. And I think he will improve. I think he will score 20 plus this year. I don’t think he will get traded. I think Zucker will move to the right side of the 3rd line. And McCann will play with Geno and Rust. And the 3rd line wings will be Poulin and Zucker.

of course Poulin is going to get a shot. They have no choice but to give him a shot. Have you seen what the 3rd line is going to look like without him. It's awful.
Of course we could be seeing OConnor or Legare too. Especially if Legare plays this year like he did last year.
