Doesn't look like you need to make that Philly trade if NSH accepts the other one. Send Johnson away for whatever you can get (besides taking on another contract) and you'll have enough to sign Cernak.

Stamkos isn't waiving, And Cernak isn't available. And if Cernak and Johnson do get moved together it's to Detroit not Philly.

I find it impossible to believe TB will move a 40 goal scorer like they grow on trees.

STamkos might waive if the option is to sit out the season on LTIR because the cap has been mismanaged, (and for one of the best players ever for a franchise, would he want to?) and he can also join a fairly good team that has the cornerstones in place in compete immediately as its number 1 center. But for TB they only do it for cap reasons, but as good as sissons is, its a bargain for NSH, (but its a poor return for TB, but moving that big salary allows them to keep a solid forward corps together).

As for Johnson and cernak getting moved to PHI over DET, a lot of that would be about the return package AND Johnson waiving his NTC, and I think he might do that for a contender now in Philly over a rebuild in DET.
