1st and Batherson are untouchable

Formenton is a tough sell. OTT doesn't want the last couple years of Gaudreau's peak before he leaves to UFA or they're forced to overpay him

Flames decline they are in a win now mode trading their best offensive player does not help you win, they just signed Markstrom and Tanev so they want to win. Even if they were starting a rebuild they still reject

Ottawa isn't trying to win right now, and they shouldn't want anything to do with that next Gaudreau contract. I'll take the next 7-10+ years of Formenton Batherson and the two picks over 2 years of Gaudreau
