Got the idea from a Murat Ates article. Wasn't sure the Leafs would want to move a cheap Defenseman that easily. Looks like Dermott's advanced numbers are good. Murat cited his defensive abilities as the reason for a possible fit. He's also ineligible for an offer sheet and would likely get under 2.5 million. He could be a good long term fit as a 4/5 defenseman.
I love Roslovic, but he is stuck in the bottom six right now and with the Stastny trade, I can't see him spending significant time in the top six this year. RIght now he is playing with grinder types like Lowry that do not cater to his game.
I would be happy with this deal. I could easily take out the 3rd.

He’s not bad but ur giving up Jack Roslovic a top 6 potential winger. Dermott can’t play top 4 minutes yet too.

Okay, that's fair. I still think he could fit as a number five guy. I see him as better than Beaulieu, Forbort, Poolman, and Niku.

Yes he is better than them, but they won’t move Roslovic for a guy like him. Mete in MTL is alright, he isn’t a turnover machine or whatever, he’s just decent and a guy decent doesn’t land a guy with top6 potential
