Description

Questionable pick was trading up to get Kleven. Pretty big waste of a high 3rd rounder. But it's clear the Sens management uses their current players or coaches to help them decide on who to draft. I get the theory but that's how you end up with Tychonick in the 2nd round instead of the best player available.

Anyway, there are some young UFAs that weren't qualified I think are worth exploring. They could flip athanasiou at the deadline for a mid pick maybe more if he plays well
Sneaky good bottom 6 though and they're going to be a pain in the @ss to play against

Leafs got it great in that trade. From what I understand, both the leafs picks were ranked higher than Kleven.

Every team has their own rankings but it frustrates me that the Sens would have him ranked so high, they'd trade 2 high picks to get him. It was only a UND and Sanderson connection, like come on. I agree in that the Leafs got the better end of the deal by far, it really didn't matter who they took. Kleven's ceiling is so low

Of course no insult to the sens, he’s still a good prospect and hope he still works out. But it seems more likely the leafs guys work out (don’t bother asking me their names. The are some of the weirdest names I’ve ever heard)

Both are finnish, one is a LH defenseman, good puck mover and the other is a small but really skilled LW/C. Both players could turn into nice pieces.
From what I've read, Kleven is a good skater with a good skill set.
Then again no one could pan out lol. Who knows but immediate reaction is disappointing haha
