This trade happens at the deadline by the way. I mean I guess it could happen anytime but the deadline is just what I think of. This is way too wild for the NHL and completely unrealistic, but if we're being honest here, why wouldn't something like this work? The hardest part would be getting the player to sign, but I think with that insane overpay, and we have the cap space to go even more if we wanted, we could get it done. Some team gets a rental Pietrangelo for a way under market value, and we get a nice return. I have no clue what the return for something like this would be, but I would have to imagine it starts with a 1st +. Even though he's a pure rental, GM's pay these types of prices all the time. Completely unrealistic, and would've worked better with Hall, but his contract is kinda the one who gave me this idea. But really, who says no?
