Yeah, here's an idea for the Ducks to get out of their cap crunch. Lets swap out 2 skilled, young, core defensemen both under contract for relatively reasonable cap hits for the big old contract of a guy who is more of a liability than anything and a 1 year rental depth forward. Bob Murray would get fired 15 minutes after the trade call.

Well the ducks would trade 7.7 in cap space and get 5.2 in return, saving 2.5 million, and they could flip cirri for a mid- round pick or something else

Also, alot of the jets top prospects contracts end in 2 years, so they might not have enough money for wheeler, also keep in mind that nash has a LIMITED trade clause(12 teams i believe) so they could flip him to one of those teams for even more cap space, ensuring they get all of their top prospects under contract
