Stop with the Hall stuff. We currently have $5 million to sign 3 players, so we can’t afford to sign Hall.

does not need to be hall but the team needs to significantly upgrade on the left side. Made some good moves in the offseason but missing that piece. Right side seems locked in now with Gally, Caufield & JA

Which JA? 😉
Again, the habs don’t have cap space to sign Hall, and if you’ve seen their moves in the past few weeks, they clearly aren’t doing it.
And Hall isn’t that piece that’s going to put you over the top. Sure he’s a great supporting guy, but we need goal scorers, not more playmakers.

The new JA. Old JA is a great player who just got pushed out unless he wants to play on the fourth haha.
I agree goal scoring is the need. Do you have someone in mind that would make sense to fill that void? Duclair & hoffman seem like options but finding something that isn't homegrown will be tough. I feel like it will also be more of a problem next season once tatar is off the books

you have a team of kids with the inconsistency of rookies... good chance you don't make the playoffs..... how many players 20 and under are on this team? caufield is not ready for one.. ok I just saw it is for next year so maybe then this would work..

Ya not this year. for next season when the Habs have barely anyone under contract seeing what it might look like. Caufield will most likely be in AHL or NHL next year.

he might make it next year and when he does we need to get rid of byron as we will have too many small forwards

I think hall is a stretch but ya tatar would have to go. Would love to have hall but most likely won't happen. Just shows we can afford that cap hit next year if MB can trade/sign a good LW

not sure how much we improve with tatar gone and hall in.... if it is a long term deal then i dont like it... long term UFA for big bucks are terrible 50% of the time
