You know financially isn't the only thing for Arizona, this isn't Peter Chiarelli, if that's what was being offered any team could beat that. I dont know how u think this is a fair trade
Ok I don’t want to be rilled up again over that one guy whom started this whole thing with the very classy name that rhythms with Mug. That guy is absolutely a cartoon character of sinister.
So I’m clearly agitating in return here which I should not be doing. My bad. Ok. Back to the topic.
It is not a fair trade. That is not what I am saying.
Listen we are on two different realms of thinking here.
I don’t want another diatribe here because I’m sick of people acting like OEL is gonna be traded for the world. Fine.
I’m an Expos fan. I’ve seen Larry Walker traded to Colorado for nothing after 1994
Jaromir Jagr was given away to the Rangers. There are so many examples.
The landscape has changed. Arizona is broke. You crazy things when you don’t have coin in your pocket.
Everything is telling me OEL will be given away. I’ve heard it from the experts in some words. They will never go out on a limb and say it though, of course.
Then there’s a million reasons why OEL is overrated to high hell. Mediocre PP point man. Chychrun was much better. 5on5 absolutely underwhelming.
I think it’s a bad idea to trade for the guy. He’s regressing the last two years. 29 years old. The Canucks don’t have the room in 2021 with Hughes and Petey off ELC.
At a certain point you need to identify your pieces moving forward and work around the edges. OEL isn’t working around the edges. It’s inserting a damn anchor on your boat.
Unless Arizona gives him away it’s an awful deal for the Canucks. They have too many contracts to be signed.
Juolevi is disappointing, of course but is not a bust and he’s cheap which the Canucks need even as a depth option and could give better value.
A 1st rounder is insane to part. That would be two straight picks given up in the first round. They need that if they are to be a Cup contender in 2021 for collateral.
The trade simply makes no sense for Vancouver. It’s been discussed to death. Arizona could trade every player they have, correct. But they will get nothing for them . OEL is being dangled because he’s their most known asset.
See this is why I don’t want to go on and on.
It’s an awful deal for the Canucks and I imagine it would be the same for the Bruins. Arizona needs to give him away otherwise it doesn’t work in a flat cap. Either this is a financial move and they give him away or they don’t trade him. When has this ever been about hockey talent? It’s not
