Description
Wild would love the rw production of Wheels and the flex ability of using him center with all the moving parts they are working with this season.

Wheels would easily be worth Dumba and a 1st in any other draft year, however, this year being what it is we need to use Poolman to fill Minnie's hole for losing Dumba if we are to take their first. This gives the wild a player to expose and also to stopgap for the '21 season and to remain competitive.

Cirelli is easy. Giving them a RD prospect to fill the holes from their UFAs when they have zero salary and limited caproom to sign all their free agents. If they refuse we will offer sheet and if we don't another team will. The risk here is trying to land Cirelli with a better offer than the other teams going for him. Normally an offer sheet would be a 1st 2nd and 3rd in 2021 draft so throwing in Niku is like giving them 2 x 1sts and a 2nd so it sweetens their loss of Cirelli a bit.

Dillon has been connected to us in the past so I'm hoping he would still be interested. If he isn't then we sign Kulikov on a 1 year $3M and leave him exposed in the Seattle expansion draft.

I don't know if Winnipeg has an internal salary cap like other teams or not but there is flexibility with Lowry and Perrault this year or next to leave room for Laine and Pionk. None of the salaries I chose for this year's signings were estimates and not in stone.

I think this makes a lot of sense for MN and Jets if Wheeler waves his NMC. If he is going to wave it would be for the Wild to return to play at home. If this wasn't the case I wouldn't consider a central division trade like this but it makes a lot of sense.
Also, we need to swap ville and Samberg throughout the season to keep them under 40 games and protected from the Seattle draft.

Thoughts?

Hit the drawing board again. Wild don't even consider this.

Maybe, but returns aren't going to be as high as they have been in the past. That said I would agree if your hesitation is the salary involved. A reason why you don't agree would be good for conversation rather than just a flat "No". The reason why I would think It would fail is more that the wild may be willing to wait on a draft pick at center to develop than trade for one. But the wild won't get a huge return on Dumba. They don't have the bargaining power because they will lose him anyway after the all star break.

No, we won't lose him anyway.

The reasoning should be apparent. This does nothing to help the Wild and takes away our top 10 pick. It's not close, I don't know what else to tell you.

Read my team description. I was looking for a constructive fun conversation, however, you don't seem to be interested and aren't offering reasons why or a counter offer but that's OK. Thanks for commenting.

Your offer is fair. Our GM said it is his top priority to sign all 3 RFA. I think they will sign 2-3 year bridge deals. All the other stars did this. I would think from the rumors Killorn, Johnson and Paquette are moved in the next day or two. That clears 11 million and probably enough to sign the 3. Then another contract will be moved, guessing Gourde.
