Maatta-Zaitsev no need for a player like that

I hope we don't move Maatta for only a 6th but not entirely unreasonable either. Such a solid player in the playoffs and plenty of upside.

There's some good things in here. I don't think the Sens need Bozak AND Smith. I would go with Smith to keep the 4th and give him 2 years.

Gudas, Maatta and Grant are completely unnecessary. Wolanin is better then them and Mike Reilly. I would buy out Eriksson. And you're also missing Zub.

How is Wolanin better than Maatta? You need vets on your team to mentor younger players or else you end like the decade of crap like the Oilers pre-McDavid.

Actually, you got a perennial loser in Edmonton by failing to develop your prospects and by plugging holes with useless UFAs in your roster. Hence why it makes way more sense to play Wolanin.

How are they useless UFAs? Fact check: Gudas and Smith have been plus players their whole careers. Maatta has won 2 Cups. Bozak 1 Cup. Cernak just won a Cup. Fleury won 3 Cups. You need veteran core leadership to give your team identity. Grant is a hard nosed veteran 4th liner. You need these guys to mentor and train/ teach your younger players how to be NHLers. This does not compare to the rotten Oilers of 2006-2016.
