How many players on the devils scored more than nylander? Just wondering
Are we taking about careers, single seasons, average rates?
Over a singe season?
2019-20:
[NYLANDER], Palmieri, Coleman, Bratt, Hall, Hischier
2018-19: Palmieri, Coleman, Zajac, Hischier, Zacha, Boyle, Johannsson, Severson, Hall, Wood,
[NYLANDER], Bratt, Rooney
2017-18: Hall, Palmieiri, Hischier,
[NYLANDER], Wood, Bratt
2016-17: Palmieri,
[NYLANDER], Hall, Henrique
2015-16: Palmieri, Henrique, Stempniak, Zajac, Cammalleri, Boucher, Kalinin, Farnham, Schlemko,
[NYLANDER], Blandisi, Moore
Since Nylander arrived in NHL: Palmieri, Hall,
[NYLANDER], Zajac, Coleman
Scoring Rate (G/GP): Palmieri, Hall, Henrique,
[NYLANDER], Hischier, Coleman
But clearly TOR and NJD are different teams with different offenses (#2 ranked offense vs #25 ranked offense).
If you adjust for team and use individual's xGF/60: Palmieri, Hischier, Hall,
[NYLANDER], Coleman, Gusev
Nylander is a good offensive player. He would be in NJD top-6 and help increase their scoring. Not questioning that at all.

The question is about the package they are offering (Holl, Malgin and two picks) for Severson (with 36% retained) which is nowhere close to a fair package. Nylander would be more fair.
Everyday, NJD fans see these 4-for-1 type offers from TOR....usually consisting of Holl, Dermott, Malgin, Bracco, Johnsson, Engvall, etc for Severson and Palmieri. And Leafs fans say they are fair or sometimes that their side is overpaying.
The fair trade for Severson is something like this: Severson for Sandin + 2020 1st round pick. Or Severson + lesser piece for Nylander.
For Palmieri: It would be Robertson + 2nd, Sandin +1st or similar.
But until these guys are traded...or until season starts....we will suffer the endless offers like "Dermont, Engvall, Bracco, 2nd" for your best player. No other teams fan base does this. Tons of Severson/Palmieri offers have come from VAN, WPG, CGY, BOS, EDM, NYI, COL, CAR...a few bad ones, mostly ok offers.....but none like what we see daily from TOR fans. Which is why I responded they way I did.
