Sounds great in theory but i think it all depends on if Geno resigns. If he resigns id imagine JR (If still the GM) would continue to try his best to win cups. But if not i agree blow it all to hell and back. Everyone is on the block but sid.

Murray doesn't get you a 1st. That's a cap dump and you don't get a 1st for that.

Cap dump? That's 4x2 I gave him. Grow a brain. Their are 3 or more teams that desperately need a real starter, someone will pay a 1st to out bid the other teams.

Cap dump yes. You are choosing between Murray and Jarry and keeping the cheaper. Also just because YOU give him 4 mill doesn't mean that's what he gets. Whatever he gets is going to be an overpayment after the playoffs he just had. Also there might be 3 or 4 teams that could use a starter but that doesn't mean Leafs are 1 of them. IF they trade Freddy then maybe but I'd be more interested in a guy like Markstrom, Rittich, Holtby or Kuemper. They will be either cheaper (Rittich, Kuemper or Markstrom) or better (Holtby, Kuemper maybe Markstrom) or both (Kuemper and maybe Markstrom). So again I say Murray is not worth a 1st. Especially if Allen only gets you like 5th or whatever.

I’ve learned for my own mental health to just not engage with those types of comments. Just added stress and anger for no reason. Some people are just clueless and there is nothing you can say / do to change their mind. Calling Matt Murray a cap dump is hilarious. Least I got a good laugh.

I've had Pens fans tell me too that it was Murray. Sure Sully made the decision but Murray played. He's either good enough for a 1st and can play in the playoffs against any team or well... he's not. I'm not giving up 1st round pick for a backup RFA.

I'd get the argument of Pens didn't show up if Murray had better numbers. Murray lost a couple of those games too. It wasn't all on the skaters (F and D). They played much better in front of Jarry.

I watched every game, aside from the Jeff Petry goal, Murray was fine. He can play against any team and he proved that in 2016 and 2017. He’s in a slump right now, but I’m confident that once he’s traded, he will regain to form, and become a top goalie once again. Any Murray trade for Pittsburgh is going to be a loss for them. The same people say Murray suck, are the people who said fleury sucks when he was on Pittsburgh, then started praising him once he went to Vegas
