I understand Schneider isn’t ready, but it is the kind of partner VALIMAKI needs. Truth be told I needed it to make money work, lol

So I'm assuming Treliving uses a gun or is it blackmail?

Vegas isn't trading Glass for that, very pointless trade for them.

Cap space, a serviceable starter to use in a 1-2 punch, a young d-man with upside that can move the puck, and what could be a decently early 2nd round pick for a guy that they're looking to move on from and has only 1 year left on his deal?... are you joking? Leafs take that and run without looking back.

There is no way in hell the Leaf's replacement for Frederik Andersen is gonna be big save dave. Andersen is gonna get moved for draft picks or prospects for cap relief to bring in most likely Jacob Markstrom, or a trade for Darcy Kuenper

I wasn’t intending for BSD to be Andersen’s replacement. I have seen so many posts about Toronto moving on from Andersen and has been reported in the rumour mill. Rittich is good in a 1A-1b roll which I guessed Toronto would be heading in the short term. As I assume both markstrom and keumper are not stand alone number 1 guys they need good backups behind them.

Markstrom makes 0 sense for Toronto. They wanna move on from Andersen because he'll be asking too much when he's a UFA. Markstrom easily makes more than his $5M this season so that doesn't save them any cap to address the defence. & Kuemper would be nice, but again it's not saving much cap, only $500K and there's gonna be tons of teams trying to get him. Leafs don't have the farm system to really blow away the Coyotes so they'd likely lose out on him. Rittich and Campbell would be a good tandem that would cost less combined than any of those goalies.
