If Rossi makes the Senators out of training camp, he will likely become their No. 1 center alongside Brady Tkachuk. | |

Detroit’s winger depth is deeper than their center depth, so drafting Raymond wouldn’t make sense. Perfetti could play on the wing, but he is mostly a center. The Red Wings have taken risks in the past, for example, when they draft Seider last year. Some scouts have said that Perfetti has the best hockey IQ in the draft. His playmaking skills are outstanding as well, and Perfetti will likely be the No. 2 center in Detroit. | |

Drafting a center wouldn’t make sense either since they drafted Rossi two picks ago. So the smart choice would be a winger, and Raymond is the best available. It could take a while for Raymond to make an instant impact, but he has the offense to make the NHL. There are rumors that Ottawa could trade this pick, which wouldn’t make sense because their pick last year was traded. | |

Someone in this draft is likely to fall because this is one of the deepest drafts we’ve seen in a while. I would not be surprised if Byfield gets selected earlier. | |

The Devils defense and goaltending took a big turn by improving, so leaving it untouched would make sense, especially with Ty Smith turning into their top prospect in the system. Holtz is a true goal-scorer and his playmaking abilities aren’t bad either. It may take a year for Holtz to develop and make the NHL, but he will be worth the wait. | |
