Great contract for Boston. I questioned Sweeney's moves at first getting ride of Hamilton, but I think he's doing pretty good. Imagine if he can get Trouba! Backes will prove valuable. I expect them to compete with Florida and Tampa again real soon.

Just posted on another thread, but great deal for B's in the short term, gives them cap space and cap certainty to do some wheeling and dealing. Next stop: upgraded D!

Congrats, Bs fans, on a great cap era extension! Here is a guy that every other team would love to have. He is a perennial 20 goal scorer who kills penalties (along with scoring shorties!) and is a general nuisance to play against. He had a breakout year last season and a fantastic WCoH thus far! Good on Sweeney to retain Marchand at a cap friendly hit for what he is worth!
