So you don’t believe you can get what you need with those two firsts in this “deep” draft. You must not be seeing all they hype about these prospects. #7 will most certainly have an elite fwd/d
#20 also has a strong chance for a top 6 fwd or top 4d

I agree Wood and the 3rd are just throw in sweeteners, but atleast the Jets won’t have to worry about Laines contract and also get top prospects with control

I am guessing package would include:

(a) D-man and/or 2C to start
(b) a high pick
(c) a prospect or ELC player that figures into their top-9 forwards or top-4 def.

I don't think Wood would be the guy. And I don't think NJD gives up #7 and #20 unless there is a pick returning to them.

I guess it depends if WPG wants holes filled immediately (points to guys like Severson, Zacha to start..) or over longer term (points to prospects, picks, etc). NJD going to offer lower price on latter.

Jets aren’t rebuilding rn and doubt the 7th pick and 20 some pick come close to being like laine I’d rather keep him and trade 10 for one of those needs and if I am trading one of our top roster players it’s Connor for me
