At least you're honest on your profile. Lehner got a 2nd and a C prospect at the deadline with retention. This is pretty close to same value. I don't think TOR is going to move Andersen, CAR is better off looking for a longterm commitment with a UFA.

The only way they'd take this deal is if they had a better goalie lined up in free agency, which is prob unlikely because they wouldn't be able to afford it

The CBA they signed (or extended rather) prior to the playoffs beginning abolished the re-signing condition in trades. Any trade with said conditions prior still stands though.

Pesce is a top 3 dman who is extremely dependable. His numbers were depressed slightly this year mainly due to the fact that he played with Gardiner for most of the year who really struggled to adapt to the canes. Another thing that most people are not factoring in is that Pesce has one of the most team friendly contracts in the NHL, this adds substantial value especially with the flat cap

Raanta has a much injury concern as Andersen has consistency concerns

however pesce is an issue with the coming expansion, where if im Carolina, im protecting Slavin, Hamilton and either Bean or Skjei.

Canes would be cool losing Skjei over Pesce.

Pesce will be protected over Skjei or bean no question. Hamilton will also be a ufa so who knows there. The canes could potentially have a deal in place but wait until free agency to sign it so that he doesn’t have to be protected (with that said I believe they are already talking a new deal now). More than likely the canes make a trade with Seattle to select Gardiner or something like that

If you retain upwards of 25% of Mrazek's contract, sure. Otherwise, we probably opt to keep our 3rd and sign a goalie in FA
