I don’t think it is, mainly because to go to a canadian tax market Petro will want 10 mill.

That's entirely reasonable. Just think Buffalo is desperate to make some changes and though Ullmark had a pretty decent season this year Andersen is more proven as a true #1 and they can't really afford to not make the playoffs again/gamble on their goaltending.

No way Ullmark had the better season and they will get him for a cheaper price.

That's very possible in which case you're right, not doable. Though given the flat cap and the speculative talk from the media/insiders it sounds like his number will be less than that and potentially significantly so (i.e. 7-9).

Also very possible. Anyone who says they know what’s going on hasn’t realized theres a global freaking pandemic, and no one knows what’s going on!

Goaltending is always a gamble year to year except for maybe 4 or 5 goalies in the league. Ullmark was better than Anderson this year and will be a better contract with player control after this year. Anderson would be with all things considered the bigger risk so the Sabres pass.

I mean sure Ullmark had a better Sv% this season but that was in only 34gms. Andersen has a better career Sv%, has proven capable of handling #1 minutes, and I don't think it's unreasonable to view him as a superior G. Buffalo also has a ****-ton of cap space so I don't see that being a major deterrent for them if they view Andersen as a significant upgrade on Ullmark in a season they desperately need to make the playoffs.

It's not doable because Detroit not giving you a 2nd for that player ever. Good luck, you can keep his cap hit

Ullmark got injured in January he was the starter doing a great job keeping Buffalo in the playoff race.
Sure Freddy is probably a better goalie right now but he’s a UFA at the end of the season Buffalo wouldn’t be able to afford him with Dahlin and Jokiharju needed new contracts.
And Buffalo doesn’t have a lot of cap space. A lot of RFA’s plus cap penalties from Botterill and the owners reportedly wanting to be under the cap by a significant margin.

Maybe not. Though it was based on Detroit's own beat writer for the Athletic suggesting Kerfoot was someone they would be looking at/interested in. Even if it's not Detroit for a 2nd they would able to move Kerfoot for a positive asset without any issues.
