They have potential in Broberg Bouchard Bear Jones, they needed a real solid top six winger and MTL needs a real solid defender. Surplus of d-men for EDM and surplus of forwards for MTL looked pretty straight forward to me

yeah you gotta hit the 1500 game mark for defenseman to see their true potential.

actually though, he's 25 and played over 300 games, what more potential does he have.

Maybe change the second to Poehling or a third since Nurse isn’t guaranteed to sign with us next season...but value is close

Leafs trade might be acceptable as it’s a fit for both teams and we like the retention. The thing about kapenen is that he had trouble playing on the second line when Marner was injured. He may have speed but some trouble finishing.

Until it is proven dmen with 160+ NHL games it's hard to say if they will be able to fill in Nurse's position.

Dmen hit their prime years between 27-32.
