Hall in the final year of his deal (with no term remaining, no certainty of extension) landed NJ: 1st + 3rd + net 2 prospects

Gaudreau has two full seasons on the books. So I'd say at a minimum: 1st + 2nd + 3rd + 2 prospects is the starting point, and that only represents a 2nd rounder as the premium for 1.5 extra years of term....

So maybe the deal above is in the ballpark actually.

If Giroux was with the Sabres this year, I would imagine they would have been chasing the Leafs.
Skinner - Giroux - Vesey would have been a decent top line.
Give the Sabres an extra 45 or 50 goals (15-20 for Skinner, 20 for Giroux and 10 for Vesey).
Just my opinion, if that was offered to the Sabres, I think it would be a yes.

If Claude Giroux was traded for just a 1st and 2nd that general manager should immediately be fired. Giroux isn't being traded Flyers fans need to stop pushing that narrative especially since if he stay a Flyer his whole career he'll probably be top 4 greatest Flyers of all time

If Philly was ever crazy enough to offer this to the Sabres and I was the Sabres GM I would run as fast as I could to the league offices to make sure this deal got approved immediately
