If we trade Dumba we need a top 6 center, which Kerfoot is not.

In the minny trade you get the 14th pick and lilijgren as well as kerfoot. Those are two high end young assets. With the 14th you van either grab a 1C prospect or you can simply package those two assets for a top 6 Center

I don't see one of those trades

The only one that does not look terrible is the Dermott trade

Sorry this just made me giggle.....i love some of the moves...but i feel your over evaluating some of the leafs players. Edm will only trade Larrson thats more realistic.

Kerfoot is a middle 6 center, and ideally a 3C on a contender. Liljegren is a fine piece, but we have zero room for him in our organization, even if we trade Dumba, with Addison, Mennell, Belpedio, and both Johansson's. It's just pointless for us to acquire another RD prospect. I highly doubt the 14th pick will turn into a 1C, but it's a fine piece. I just don't see us being interested in moving Dumba for a package where a mid-teens pick is the headliner. So basically we're getting a 3C, a prospect we don't need and don't have room for, and a good-not-great pick for a player who has shown the ability to be a game breaker before he had a major injury (at the very least he's still a great #3 on most teams).

I'll say it again: if we move Dumba, we need a top 6 C, which Kerfoot is not.

Also, saying we can package the pieces we get for a top 6 center is counter productive, just move Dumba for the center and not have to go through the gymnastics of making another trade.

I don't think Edmonton can afford to trade both Nurse and their 1st round pick. Just not enough forward depth in the prospect pool so the pick is extremely valuable, especially since they don't have another selection until the 107 spot if they don't give that to Calgary. The 2021 draft is more of the same. Moving Nurse probably has to be a one-for-one exchange, so the deal works if Dubas sees it as an opportunity to get Nurse and clear a bit of cap space. I'm not saying that's what Dubas should do, but it is what I think Holland can afford to pitch in a deal that involves those two players. Of course Holland may have no interest in making that exchange and he may have other options to enhance his forwards without moving Nurse.
