If that's a non-starter than no biggy. IMHO - that's probably close to the value to move his contract with term. If that's declined, then I'd try the offer sheet route for Cernak at a price and term higher than listed in order to keep 2 2020 1sts

3 years at 2.5 is right. You would have to vastly overpay to OS. Tampa really likes him and unlikely they trade him.

Not a fan or the toronto deal and really not a fan of the VAN deal. I like the others. If you really want Cernak why not just trade one of their other 3 first rounders from this year rather than taking on an awful contract in order to get another one next year?

Toronto Deal: What’s bugging you about it?

Van deal: One of the three 2020 1sts is being moved for Hanifan, which leaves us with 2 2020 1sts, 7OA and probably 18 OA. To me, the Devils should select with both of those picks which means A) acquire draft capital by taking on cap to acquire Cernak or B) FIll the Severson void in FA.
