that and Kyle Doofus came out today and defended Marner's play in that series as a whole so realistically he won't get traded. But I truly think there needs to be "too much roster turnover" to create a more competitive team.

Imagine the speed of a Kreider - Kapanen wing pair.

Until Dubas is gone this team will not change and be garbage on the back end which will result in first round eliminations . Why Dubas refuses to trade Marner for whatever he can get is mind blowing . Just my opinion

Well the reason is because his point totals up to this point are near mirror images to that of Patty Kane so far. You don't want to trade a guy that is comparable to Patty Kane. But man this flat cap has screwed us over. Would have been able to upgrade the D and grit no problem if the cap went up, and now they have to make some tough decisions about whether Marner has championship pedigree in him, or if they'd be better off looking to fill out their roster

This would go down as the worst trade David Poile ever made.

Pls don't compare him to Kane Marner is horrific on defence and gets bounced off the puck easily and will never score at Kanes level take away JT and he's a 60 point winger

not saying he's Kane, saying he produces at Kane's level thus far in his career, making it a tough choice to move on from him. Not horrific defensively, good penalty killer, but does get bounced off the puck more than I'd like. He scored 60 as a rookie with Bozak, I think you should give him a little more credit.
