In reality that trade would never happen. Kings won't offer one of their future top 6 centers(Vilardi already is their 2C) and in reality the Rangers wont ask for that. They have Zibanejad, Strome, AND Byfield in this case. The difference in Byfield and Lafreniere isn't huge hence why I thought Kupari and Grundstrom would be a fair trade.

What about 2OA and Madden?

Forgot about Chytil, sorry. That adds to my point, even less of a reason to ask for Turcotte. The whole point of trading 1OA for 2OA is because your team is literally stacked at LW. Kreider, Panarin, and Lemieux. They could use a 3LW which is why I offered Grundstrom. At center they have Zibanejad, Byfield, Chytil, and Strome. Strome and/or DeAngelo I predict will be used to acquire a LD.

Both will not be here soon, and if we have byfield turcotte/vilardi and chytil we can trade mika for an absolute haul and run the entire cycle back lmao

kreider is gone anyway when our cap blows up, or he accepts a 3rd line role and we make the cap work, only thing I dont like is kreiders extension is 7 years and lafs team control is 6 years, at least panarin and trouba help

I don't mean to argue or dispute realistic value for trading down but the thought of passing a franchise talent is infuriating . All those playoff losses and coming up short was because we had no star power. I don't knock Byfield or Stutzle because I love those prospects but Lafreniere is Crosby while those are Malkins. We need him to pair with Kaapo Kakko and this team will be a force. Finding centers isn't that hard especially with the extra first and trade chips.
