Newhook's numbers look pretty sick btw.

We can't do this one, lol. Newhook is a stud and a better prospect than Formenton. My goal was to get the latter to play with the former in a couple years.

Would anything around Kaut or Bowers potentially get there? What if it's like Kaut + 1st for Formention + Columbus 2nd? In short, Ottawa gets a RW prospect for a LW prospect and moves up into the first round to make it 4 first round picks in a very deep draft)?

The Sens are about to add some serious talent at LW (Stutzle, Raymond, Perfetti), and they already have Tkachuk. Might make some sense, but you tell me what the other side would think.

No I think Formenton is worth almost a first alone. Also Ottawa has the second pick of second round so no need to trade for COL 1st that will only be a couple spots ahead

Newhook really exploded this year and has become (conservatively) a top ten prospect in the league. Bowers is good but nowhere near that level, so he would be much more palatable from Colorado's standpoint. Him or Kaut plus a bit would be in the neighborhood of what the Avs would likely pay. It could be something like Kaut and Zadorov for AF and a 2nd. Idk if Ottawa would take it though.

Is there a big issue with what is posted here if you swap Bowers for Newhook? I know you want to move roster guys but lets say Ottawa wants to keep cap space for other teams but they want Grubauer which I think is reasonable from their side.

I just don't know who replaces Grubauer. It could work if they sign Lehner or something but otherwise it probably doesn't. Francouz was really good this year, but Grubauer still seems to be the number one.

Theres no way you dont play Francouz 60 games next season. That would be ridiculous to not run that guy.

I love Newhook. As a Sens fan, despite how excited I am about Formenton I like it.

I think Formenton being a couple years ahead in the devopment means this is a good fit.
