we have Burns and Karlsson, 2 top 4 defenseman signed to long term deals and Merkley who is also a future top 4 defenseman on the right side

On the left we have Vlasic signed long term, Simek, Ferraro who is still young, and prospects like Kniazev

A. Ferraro was on my local USHL Team, so you can trust me when i say that he is going to be a very good hockey player. Burns is getting old, which is weird to say, Karlsson isnt too far off the decline, hes 30? same with Vlasic, so you technically have, future wise, Simek, Ferraro, Merkley, Kniazev (Who im lowkey excited for, and im not even a Sharks fan). But besides maybe Merkely and Ferraro, you guys dont have that future STUD of a defensemen like Karlsson or Burns. I think a guy like Clarke or even Luke Hughes would be a great pick up for the Sharks.

Vlasic, Karlsson, and Burns are just signed for so long though. I could see us trading Burns or Seattle picking him. I could see us buying Vlasic out in a few years. I don't see Karlsson as tradable and I don't see us every buying him out. So in say, 3 or 4 years we could roll with

Ferraro-Karlsson
Kniazev-Merkley
Simek-Roy/free agent

we don't really have any space for anyone else and we still have guys like Pasichnuk

As for offense, we really need to get more prospects

the only good prospects we on offense really are Leonard, Chmelevski, Dahlen, and Blichfeld. Chekovich was looking good in the Q but had a pretty bad season in the AHL so he could bounce back. That's about it though on offense.

I can see you guys taking Othmann or even Jesper. but who knows right now, too early to really say what may or may not happen. I do think the 2 defensemen of Hughes and Clarke will be studs, obviously not as good as Power will be. But they will be guys you dont want to miss out on if they are there

With Detroit's lottery luck the highest they can pick is 4th.
