I would argue that Smith would be a fix to their LHD but what do you think about adding Ouellet and making the pick conditional on Smith re-signing?

I know we wont trade for him and youll probably get some flak for this. But this is of the better trades ive seen out there, and seems to be around a pretty fair deal cap wise for trouba too. You have enough cap (sorta) for him to even be paid 6m which i cant see anyone wanting to pay him more than that.

The jets will want a top LHD that has term in his 20s or else why move trouba

I agree but the risk of Trouba sitting out and causing a distraction for the team is a bit concerning. Not sure if i already mentioned this to you a while ago but i was certain Trouba's camp is trying to get WPG to trade Trouba more than actually sign him. Was listening to somebody on TSN 1290, Bill Watters maybe? He seems to have the same idea and thinks Trouba wants out of the Peg.
